Leander Seige studied media art and computer science in Leipzig. He wrote his first computer program in 1989. Since around 1998, he has been working as a freelancer with various partners on a wide range of projects focused on the creative use of information technologies. As head of the Digital Services department at the Leipzig University Library, which employed more than 45 people in software development, IT operations, and digitization, he gained experience in project management, leadership and software architecture. Today, Leander Seige works as a research associate at the German National Library.

Susanne Seige studied German language and literature and art history (MA), but can also look back on many years of professional experience as an account manager in tax consultancies and is still working full-time in this field.
